What to expect on Sundays
At Grace Park you can expect somebody to welcome you at the door and to get a good cup of coffee. Our welcome team will be waiting and ready to give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you have children, you’ll want to take advantage of our safe and secure Grace Park Children’s area designed just for them. As you enter the main doors, please feel free to stop by and visit our Welcome Center to get information about the church and upcoming events. In the lobby, our greeters will welcome you, hand you our weekend worship guide and help you find the auditorium.
We want you to feel safe knowing that we will not embarrass you, single you out or ask you to do something that you don’t want to do. You can expect experience a worship gathering that will help you connect with God.
Where do I take my children?
You’ll find first-class programs for your children, from birth through 5th grade. The sign-in table for children is right down the hall from the auditorium. This is your first stop and the place to check-in your child into the appropriate area and get your corresponding safety tag(s). Every child will have a safety tag and church profile that will label personal belongings and mark special needs of any kind from food allergies to physical needs. We are committed to providing the safest environment possible for your children. Elementary Age (grades K-5) have their own full-scale teaching and worship time with Kidmo, a high energy experience created to present God’s truth in fun and innovative ways. They won’t want to miss a single time and will be begging for more! Younger children will receive the loving care of dedicated children’s workers. The younger children experience age-appropriate learning experiences for younger children.
How Should I Dress?
Come as you are. There is no need for a suit and tie, although that is OK as well. We care about you, not how you are dressed.
During the Worship Gathering
The worship time begins at 10:00 A.M. and will finish around 11:30 A.M. If you have children, you will want to arrive about ten minutes early to register your children and get them situated in their rooms. We hope you get to relax a little while you are worshiping with the Grace Park community, and when we say relax, we just mean, “be yourself.” We invite you to resist the feeling that you have to conform in worship to the ways of those around you. It is for this reason that we invite you to “sing, not sing, sit, stand, or kneel” during our worship gatherings. We only ask that you would be authentic in your expression. We aren’t about masks at Grace Park. We value having a community of worshipers where contemplation, celebration, service, adoration, confession, and rest are all welcomed as valid, coexisting expressions of worship. We hope that the discipline of worship you engage in on Sundays can realistically reflect the discipline of worship that you practice throughout the week. For an hour and fifteen minutes each week we purpose to glorify God and to do it in such a way that we are better able to glorify Him for the remaining one-hundred and sixty-six hours and forty-five minutes. If you would like to listen to a sample playlist of some of the worship songs we use, you can find them on Spotify by clicking here.
After the Worship Gathering
We would enjoy getting to know you after the worship time. Please stay around and “hang out” at the fellowship area for some good coffee and fellowship.
